Job Description JOB TITLE:Assistant General Manager - Operations REPORTS TO: General Manager FUNCTION: Operations
JOB PURPOSE To manage the local and national logistics operations of the Premier Centre, ensuring a high service level is maintained to drive income and profit by satisfying customer needs
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Lead by example and coach, motivate and train centre staff. 2. Liaise closely with the Assistant General Manager Sales, to co-ordinate stock availability and delivery status. 3. Co-ordinate collections and deliveries, ensuring that a full range of stock is accessible via the supply chain function. 4. Communicate efficiently and accurately with colleagues and other stores in relation to stock status and availability. 5. Maintain in depth knowledge of local area and local transport network. 6. Liaise closely with transport management to ensure efficient operational standards are maintained 7. Promote cooperation between staff, logistics and sales teams 8. Ensure customer order requirements are accurately and efficiently fulfilled, and delivered by staff properly trained and qualified for the equipment concerned. 9. Ensure efficient communication with maintenance teams to ensure maximum availability of stock appropriate to seasonal and local demand 10. Maintain regular communication with branch, centre and sales teams regarding stock status and availability. 11. Champion HSEQ to safeguard the interests of the business, our people and customers.
