Job Title:- General Manager Reports To:- Regional Director Function:- Operations
Job Purpose Manage the operation of a Premier Centre of Teir 1 Centre, and its satellite branches through assertive and visible leadership of your team. Drive sales growth, productivity and compliance
Job Responsibilities
• Provide strong, inspirational leadership which role models the ethics and values of the business and maintain high personal visibility. • Lead, coach, motivate and develop the hub management team, so that they work together to drive sales and profit and deliver their objectives. • Manage the area to deliver operational key performance indicators on sales, profit, stock loss, availability & utilisation, debt, payroll, costs, customer satisfaction, branch standards, maintenance, safety and security. • Effectively implement all proposed change and business initiatives. • Champion the improvement in operational efficiency by reviewing performance and ensuring procedures and processes are consistently implemented. • Use knowledge of local markets, competition and customers to influence the way we do business and to ensure the business does what is right for our colleagues and our customers. • Work with the Sales Team to drive sales activity to support your branches. • Agree targets and monitor performance to drive compliance and improvement in operational performance. • Manage cost centre and payroll expenditure within budget. • Drive capability improvement through professional recruitment and developing local talent. • Support branch openings and network changes across all branches so that continued and seamless service is experienced by our customers. • Focus colleagues on sales and profit growth. • Maintain a high frequency and quality of communication, so that all your people are aware of the company vision, relevant plans and targets and our performance against them. • Champion customer needs and feed vital customer information to central departments to support their work. • Encourage teamwork across your area, providing excellent service to customers and resolving their problems and concerns. • Ensure compliance with all HSEQ requirements, including colleague and customer training. • Build strong and enduring customer relationships. • Ensuring maintenance and test & run levels, are kept within the specified target levels. • Adopt and utilise flexible working hours to align resource with demand patterns. • Ensure that presentation of locations and their facilities are maintained to the highest standards.
